Why Sibiu for enduro

Sibiu suits riders who want a city base and mountains on the doorstep. You can stay in the city, ride the tours from there and come back each evening. Or you can spend a few nights in the Carpathians and head out each morning on longer routes. We can organize either.

The region is known for enduro competitions. For a rider, though, what matters is how the trail feels under the tyres. A good tour and a great one usually differ in pace and in having a guide who knows the ground.

The terrain you will ride

Forests around Sibiu are dense in many places, with roots, stones and steep sections that need attention. Beyond the trees you reach wide meadows and ridges with views over the whole mountain range. Some areas have rivers or streams, which you cross carefully, especially after rain.

Conditions change from one day to the next. A trail that felt easy yesterday can be slippery after a shower. That's why we pick each day's route based on the weather and the group's level.

When to ride

The main season runs from May to October. Summer, June to August, has the longest days, and the trails are usually in their best shape. Spring and autumn are cooler, and they bring more mud and fog. Tours can run outside this window too, weather permitting. Message us and we'll check.

Getting to Sibiu

Sibiu has an airport. The airport transfer is included in our 3-, 4- and 5-day packages. If you ride your own bike, plan the trip early and check the bike before you set off. If you rent one from us, we check it before departure.

New to enduro? Start with Forest & Hills. Most riders are happy on Carpathian Explorer, with forests, ridges and traditional villages. Transylvania Challenge is for experts, with technical descents and river crossings. Weekend Escape gives you two days with accommodation, and the 3-, 4- and 5-day packages suit anyone who wants a longer trip.
