When to ride enduro in Romania
The main season runs from May to October. Each part of it asks something different from the rider.
The main season
Most of our tours run from May to October. The trails are at their best in summer, when the days are longest. June to August gives you the most daylight for a long ride, and more time for breaks on the ridges.
Summer
Summer has the longest days and the driest ground. Expect dust on open tracks and heat on the climbs, so start early and drink more than you think you need. Forest sections stay cooler, which makes them a good place to shelter in the middle of the day.
Spring and autumn
Spring and autumn are cooler. The air can be clearer after rain, and the scenery changes with the season. The trade-off is mud, slippery roots and fog on higher ground. A trail that was easy the day before can ride very differently after a shower, so we choose each route on the day.
Outside the main season
We can run tours outside the main window too, if the weather allows. Check with us before you book, because some routes and accommodation are only open for part of the year.
How weather changes plans
Mountain weather moves quickly. If conditions turn unsafe, we shorten the route, change it, or move the day. We tell you in advance and work out an alternative with you.
Planning a date? Send us your preferred month on WhatsApp and we will tell you what the trails are like at that time.
